• develop gross motor skills – throwing at a target
• develop shoulder strength
• develop visual tracking skills
• encourages development of visual attention
• encourage experimentation
• experience and explore physical principles of gravity, friction, stiction and deformation
• learn the vocabulary and meaning of gravity, friction, stiction and deformation as a follow up activity
• can relieve stress

Tippee Toppee by Bigjigs is a wooden spinning top with a difference. The spinning tops start spinning on the large base and then flip themselves over onto the spindle/handle. These have been bought by a UK university engineering department for all their students to learn physics principles. Does the spinning top flip more easily on different surfaces? Experiment with speed.

Made from high quality, responsibly sourced materials. Conforms to current European safety standards.  One spinning top supplied. If you want a particular colour please state this in the message box at checkout. Age 3 years – adult.

Educational Benefits of Tippee Toppee by Bigjigs:

• encourages experimentation
• develops an understanding of physics principles – encourages research into why it flips over.
• develops fine motor skills

Explore polymer science with Invisible Ice Smart Putty by Tobar. It is a tin of putty that offers an interesting tactile experience. Mould, stretch, bounce and even watch this putty melt as you play with it.
